Argentine cuisine, with its Spanish and Italian influences, centres around meat. Lots of meat. The standard of beef at Sosta is top class and the portions are generous.
Entrees include the traditional empanadas (meat and spice-filled pastries), marinated quail or homemade spicy chorizo sausages.
Main courses centre around carne but the menu also offers pasta and paella and a tender charcoal-grilled calamari. But it’s the charcoal-grilled beef that shows how the kitchen really shines.
The chuleta T-bone steak (550g, 700g or 1 kg) is superbly cooked. Come try.. The Argentinian-style mixed grill which is a shared selection of veal ribs, chicken, quail, rump, chorizo and lamb chops. Main courses are served with vegetables.
